    Posted: Oct/13/2010 at 8:20am

All, my team and I are coming to battlefront for the first time and had a few questions about this game:

what time does this game start? what time does it end? Can we bring our own grenades? mortar? are rubber knives allowed?

We are excited about coming to this game in a couple of weeks and would appreciate if someone could answer some of these questions for us.

Thank you, in advance, for your assistance.

Correct me if I'm wrong on any of this Chappy.

Games start at 10:00 with a morning briefing around 9:30.  This gives all the info on the game as well as safety info.  Please don't miss it.

Games ends at 5:00.  I'm not sure if a lunch break is scheduled in on this game.

Store bought grenades are fine (i.e tippmann squad busters, etc).  Homemade ones should probably be checked out by staff.

Mortars I'm not sure.  I would guess no.

Rubber knives I would imagine would fall under the category of barrel tagging.  It's the same effect as a knife kill except you don't have to pull out a knife.

A word of wisdom is also to show up a few hours early so that you can trouble shoot any gun issues, get your paint/air, as well as get chronoed.  That way you and your group won't miss the morning briefing.
Good. Bad. I'm the guy with the gun.

Hunter is right on all counts, however i would like to know what you mean by mortar?

The time frame for this game is

Part 1 10:00-12:00
Lunch 12:00-1:00
Part 2 1:00-2:30
Part 3 3:00-5:00

I think he wants to know what are you launching from it.  Nerf rockets, smoke grenades, plain old grape shot of paintballs (quite fun to do actually)?

well, i guess whatever you would let us launch...sabot, nerf, or we make a small grenade sized round that shoots great...sorry for the vagueness, we were just curious what was allowed.

thanks again guys!

For this game i'm going to say leave the mortar at home, We don't allow grape shot, there arent any Nerfs for this game and I'd have to see a grenade fired from it before i could make a ruling. Come to the WAW in april and bring it, we encourage weapons of mass destruction in that game. Your knives are allowed and actually welcomed, we think knife kills are awesome.

Is there going to be a game map made up?  Or is it as simple as sticking to the basic game format?

Its an ARC game brian not 1st strike, no need to engage the brain, simply point and shoot

ive never been to any of the games and just had a couple questions... if im allowed to ask them here :\

what happens when you "die" ..get shot.  do you go back to base and respawn?  do you have a limited number of lives? or just every time you get killed you head back to base and respawn.

and i havnt seen anything about lunch anywhere..  does that mean pack your own?  or can you buy pizza there or something?

and do you have to pick a team to join. or is that assigned?

We will be using 2 kinds of respawn this game.
During part 1 the respawn will be constant, you will return to a flag station and be instantly back into the game again.

For parts 2 and 3 respawn will be on a 15min timer, when your hit you go back to base, when you hear a rocket go off then your back in the game, you could be out for 15 min or 1min. The rocket will go off every 15min.

You can bring your own lunch or you can buy hot dogs and hamburgers from our snack shack.

If you pre-reg you can pick your own team, walk ons ussually get to pick but if teams are severely out numbered you will have to go onto whichever team needs more players.
