honestly we forgot all about the flags we were blindly determined to get that tank. lol.  we drug that darn cannon back and forth.  i loved the fact that the germans had far superior armor, it added a more desperate aspect to the game especially in the final hour.  i didnt expect to get barrel tapped since there were reds all over behind us. lol. but i didnt mind figured we were gonna get lit up at the very least anyway. well played sir.

There's no doubt we had tank superiority but the Germans really should have better tanks. I know TGE tried to balance it out by giving Easy more access to rockets but in the end the tanks were the deciding factor. I heard that there were a few good tank battles so at least you had a couple of options in dealing with them.

Another great game 1st Strike. Thanks TGE and Hannibal for your preparation. I know you guys put a lot of work into the scenario and it shows. I'll even give you credit for the good weather.

White Lightning - good job as General. You were able to dominate the first hour along with ARC Troopers and the rest of Easy Company. It goes to show the difference a tank can make. I know that the last 1/2 hour even though I didn't know the score it felt like we were behind.

Anyway I wanted to thank everyone that decided to play German this go around. I think most everyone provided great effort. Of course extra thanks to my XOs: Hades from Immortals and TmfO from Band of Brothers. You guys are exceptional examples of how to play and represent the game. Also thanks to Lightning Force. I'll take your tank anytime, and do you accept bribes? I also can't forget our secret weapon - Senior. I know he was an important reason we kept the front side flags secure at the beginning of the 2nd half.

I'd also like to thank my HQ ref. He was efficient and able to quickly get answers to my questions. I know that being an HQ ref is the most challenging role (outside of being the actual producer).

Of course there are a lot of things looking back that I would have done differently but the bitterness of lost opportunity isn't as strong after a win. I'm trying to figure out how I could have better handled the 1st hour and I think the thing that I learned is that just pointing re-spawns to an objective to defend isn't sufficient. I think I could have supported the city better if I had asked Bio-Hazard for intel on the best way to reinsert these players. I think I was so busy with everything I overlooked it. I also wish that I coordinated the end game a lot better.

I think I enjoyed the head shot only rule a bit too much. Volunteering as a meat shield sounded like a good idea at the time. Did anybody follow me out for the flag that last time? I can only guess that they did but get hit early and I was there left protecting nobody in particular. Oh, well. I'm thinking now that a head shot only player is more effective changing the flag. I thought that with a gun and hopper protecting my head I'd buy enough time but my gun slowed me down I think. My first try after taking out some in Red Brick I heard Robbie say, 'It's not worth it man'. I had the post protecting me so if I had only put down the gun I think I'd been fine.

Highlights and not so hightlights:

Easy drops in the area between N10 and M12 effectively surrounded at the horn and pays for it.

I call in an air-strike on G11 right as our tank decides to move to that location taking it out which proved to be the 1st time that tank was eliminated the 1st half.

Trump reports that Easy is in large numbers behind our HQ. I call an early re-spawn to help take care of it and my guess moved quickly and pushed them back. Funkey came by afterwords and said that was some of the best teamwork he'd seen.

A couple of our guys carry 40-80 lb crates across half the field. I have to imagine that's even more difficult than it sounds considering the terrain.

A very sneaky HQ attack we executed with two guys and a demolition block with one acting as a distraction I believe.

Easy Spy attacks our HQ. I thought spies couldn't capture the HQ but I may have mixed it up with a different scenario. Anyway after telling him didn't count even though it probably did two of our guys were headed to HQ just as he was leaving and chased him off. Too bad my gun wasn't ready or I would have had the option of stepping out of the tent after he turned away. That would have been extremely rewarding.

Easy pays $2000 for a bombing raid on the Reichstag and eliminates 2 players; one of which was out of paint - me. I was head shot only so it would have been tough to get me out. Had they stormed it instead I'm sure they'd have had no problems unless we had a lot of protection on the one side I couldn't see.

Hades Kamikaze run at the end to win it all.

I'm not sure where to start.  I guess it should be to give huge kudos to 1st Strike.  Thank you for my most enjoyable day on a paintball field ever.  Immortals - Wow our squad of 6 kicked some serious ass all day long even when the Germans were losing.  I could not have dreamed of a better debut for us.  Bio - you guys were your usual awesomeness.  Seriously, is there a better place to spend a Saturday than Battlefront Paintball.
My favorite moment of the day (other than watching Hades get the Kamikaze, which he wore to the bar that night when we got home.  Chicks dig the patch.) was the very begining of Market Garden.  Our whole team 6 people were on Seribachi.  TGE comes up the hill with an Airborne Drop 30 or so people. As he is walking up the hill we make eye contact and both just start laughing, cuz we know what is about to happen.  He proceeds to the top of the hill and the 30 on 6 fight is over in about 17 seconds with $500 worth of paint exchanged.  I giggled like a school girl all the way back to the dead box.  Just an Awesome day.

Dude. Sorry. I don't proof my posts like I should, especially when I'm tired. Yes, TmfO from Bio-Hazard. Kind like how last time I thanked Brian Poydence but substituted 1st Strike instead of Total Resistance.

Its probably like posting thanks to people and forgetting to include your team's general who did an awesome job all day long.  Thanks Monkey

MonkeyHouse, great job, you guys won fair and square. It was a fun day even though I was stuck in a tent for most of it.

Good day of playing. Never seemed to get tapped for any of the special missions, but still fun overall.

Will have to admit, that there were some pretty poor attitudes on the field. One specific group really needs to learn how to work better with others, or at the very least keep their opinions a little more private. On two seperate occassions, I witnessed some of the worst behavior by this team or it's individual members that I have ever seen. I am only hoping the other non-team players around at the time don't see this as indicative of the general demeanor of organized teams.

That's unfortunate.  I personally didn't see anything out of the ordinary from any of the teams - only saw a couple of hotheads w/ no team affiliation, at least that I could tell.  You'll have the few random players flying off like that but I would hope we wouldn't see that from any established teams, at least not from our regular ones.  Sorry to hear about that Sharp, and I too hope players don't see that as casting a bad light on other teams.
