Because this was such an awesome game I feel like it deserves it's own scenario. Obviously this will be open to opinions/discussion, but I and a few ideas to start with.
First half of the game would be Vault Hunters vs. Bandits. The objectives would primarily be smash and grab, with both sides fighting over the "Vault Key" pieces. The Key pieces would be worth a large amount of points that would be counted up at the end. The second half would see the introduction of the Crimson Lance entity. This would be one big King of the Hill match. The Lance have the "Vault" under their control and the Hunters and Bandits have to fight to get it back, but the winner of the first half must control it before anyone besides the Lance would be considered the victor. (Ex. Lance forces start with control, and the Vault Hunters won the first half. The Hunters take control of the Vault and start gaining points, now the Lance and Bandits can take back the Vault and gain points. If the Bandits take the Vault before the Hunters, they wouldn't gain points since they don't have the Key.) To add some variety to all this, both sides can take mercenary jobs on the side that would be worth points. These could be any variety of jobs: CTF, assassination of enemy commanders, destruction of tanks, etc. Still some things I haven't figured out yet, like how to determine who would play the Lance during the second half, or how/if there is a way to incorporate the classes from the game into this effectively. Any thoughts, comments, witty anecdotes? And remember, you can never be too rich, too good looking, or too well armed. |

I like where your head is at. Borderlands does have a solid story line.

I think the only character that would be possible to work out for the game would be the berserker, those could be something like headshot guys, as for the siren, marksmen and support soldier im not to sure of.
Because the marksmen thing that battlefront had for the one scenario where the snipers could target people and call them out if the remained in view was unsuccesful in my eyes, because people thought it was unfair and as soon as they turned the corner began to play again, cheating is enivitably to avoid as the crowd gets larger but i doubt it will make its way back into another scenario, unless those who write them bring it back of course
As for the soldier, he didnt really have any special talent other than throwing down turrets and annoying everyone else.
And for the last character, i dont think anyone has invented a suit or power that allows a person to turn invisible, if they have i high;y doubt theyd be willing to share it to civilians hoping to use it for paintball
Not saying this is a bad idea but im not the one to say anything if its good or bad, i was just bouncing ideas, nice mini write up however.

I like. I think the various characters could be used for side missions.
A marksmen sent on an assassination mission or maybe as a spy plane role looking for Vault Key pieces or other type of recon mission. The siren invisibility power could be translated to a type of spy role. A small group of berserkers sent on an attack type mission w/ headshot only or maybe w/ a mobile instant respawn like the Wolverines used for Red Dawn (w/ modifications of course). A soldier is deployed in the form of a medic during a defensive mission. |

As I've been thinking of missions for a Borderlands scenario for months (since at least the same time as Red Dawn was going on) I fully support a scenario based on it, lol.
I couldn't figure out a decent way of incorporating classes beyond our traditional "medic/spy/headshot-only guy" but think a good story/mission driven Borderlands theme scenario would kick some ass. |

this is funny because i was actually planning to dress up as a psycho at the halloween game :D
also a quick suggestion branching from the spy plane idea: Rakk or the hunter's bloodwing could probably be incorporated into that somehow, like your team could send out the "bird" on a scouting mission for a set amount of time
