I talked to BT today and this game is ON. They will be sending me the format in a day or two and a list of the guns and stuff that will be given away as prizes at Battlefront. I guess this is a worldwide game, and they want to do it every year the second Saturday in August.

This is the first year for this event and there is a very short run-up time to the game. Only about a month away, but they wanted to get things moving for this year anyways.

BT and company will start putting information for the August 2010 game up 10-11 months in advance.

More details as I get them.....

I got n email from them yesterday SWEARING that the were going to get the game details to us right way.

Kee Action was at the field Saturday, July 18 chatting about this game. They are making a special paintball for this game and the prices are on our Rates Page. It is the only ball that can be used for this game. There will be a decent prize package consisting of a couple of guns, masks, nitro tanks, vests, ect. which is nice, and every field world-wide has to send each teams score to BT/Kee every half hour during the game. We will have the total scores available up-to-the-minute in the admin building. Details on the game format are available on our website Upcomming Events page, looks like there will be 50-60 props to be captured and sub-missions going on all day. SINCE THIS GAME WILL CAUSE US TO HAVE TWO SCENARIO'S 14 DAYS APART, ANYONE WHO PLAYS THE BT GAME CAN PLAY THE IA DRANG GAME FOR A $5.00 FIELD FEE. (It'll give you a way to use up the left over camo balls from the BT game)

Ya'll are too nice.  I was on the fence about making the trip out for the BT game, but I'm going to give it the ole college try since it looks like I won't be making the monster game in michigan.

Had 21 pre reg for BT game last night. Looks like there may be a decent crowd for this one....even with the short lead time. "Better Dead than Red" team is just slightly ahead of the "Blue Banana Brigade" in total numbers.

THE GAME BASICS.
1. Hard start at 10:00 a.m.
2. At 10 a.m. each team has 5 flags in play and 3 sub missions. The sub missions are 15 ammo boxes and 3 WMD's that can be captured, and the opponents HQ that can be captured. There will be additional sub missions inserted at 11 a.m. 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
3. The 11 a.m. mission is to locate and capture 10 fuel cans and it lasts 1 hour.
4. The 1 p.m. mission is to locate and capture 20 food containers and blow up the enemy HQ. (we will supply the explosives)This mission also lasts 1 hour.
5. The 3 p.m. mission is to capture a pilot, capture what's left of the enemy HQ and locate and capture 5 plutonium containers. This is a 2 hour mission.
6. At 5 p.m. total up points and pass out the prizes.....my favorite part.

Hard start e 2 breaks of one hour from 12 noon to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Because of the "real-time" scoring we will need to keep the time-table under control....so when the game and sub missions start and you aren't on the field....Holen Sie oder zu schlecht fur Sie

To make this less of a scavenger hunt and more of a stand up fight, I'm gonna change things a bit. The ammo cans will be recovered from the aircraft crash site (arms smuggler)...the WMD's and plutonium will be in the Duce that broke down enroute somewhere...the food containers will be in the Ambulance that was part of a UN Food Rescue mission that got ambushed...etc.

If you are shot while carrying ammo cans to your HQ, I assume the ammo cans stay where you were hit or do they get returned to the plane?

Yeah....you get hit the ammo box hits the ground. That's why so many of them are never seen again.
