My question is; the RAP 4 cyclone upgrade is only 40 bucks, but I have heard that their parts can be sh*tty. Is it worth buying it, or should I spend the 110 on the TechT kit? Any Tippmman people out there who can help?

Tech T is always the better choice for after market Tippy stuff.

If I don't want to spring for the techt kit, I have heard good things about Lapco rachet kits. The Tech-T ratchet is about 35-40 along with Lapco's rachet. The 110 also for the upgraded piston and paddles I believe. Lapco also has an upgraded piston & paddles. I would put Crap4 at the bottom of the list.

I have upgraded my first cyclone into the TechT rachet, piston, and squishy paddles with a Lapco QEPH. I love it! Used it for 5 years!

Take it from me TECH T all the way I had the original black paddels and they were ok but when the green ones came out I sent him an e-mail asking if they were better Todd said to send them back and he will replace them with the new ones with service like that I'm sold ....plus he replaced 5 sets at once for me never had a problem with it since and everyone knows how much paint I throw

Lube your new install w/ some good grease (not spray on white lithium) will save you some jams and allow you to enjoy your upgrade faster.  (trust me)
