Leadership role?  I'm not sure, but I'll ask him, not sure if he is the type.

Didn't know where to post this, so I just decided here is as good as anywhere! I am looking forward to coming to BF for the Enemy at the Gates scenario. I will be driving from Dayton, OH.
I have some questions that I would appreciate some answers to if anyone has the time. First, What type clothing should one wear, I was planning on wearing Digi-cam ACU's and a vest? Will players be wearing more historically accurate uniforms or is this acceptable? Second, are automatic markers allowed in these games? I will be using an Army ABT with cyclone and e-grip. Third, will teams be using radios? I don't have one yet but planning to purchase one very soon. What kind of radio is most reliable, what do the ARC Troopers use? Lastly, does anyone reading this know of any good, mature, scenario PB groups or teams in the Dayton/ Miami Valley region. I would like so much to be involved with a group that plays regularly and is serious about the sport. Any replies to this would be appreciated and any other information you could share about the expectations when playing at  Battle Front.  Thank You-- Doug H.

Doug you will see everywhere from regular camo to people running around in kilts. In short, wear what you would like.

Secondly, you can fire as fast as you want at battlefront. Just make sure you are below 290 fps.

There usually are small squads/bigger teams that will have radios that you can communicate with. Our radios are called "Blackbox" and well....idk what the deal behind them is but they are amazing, but we dont have normal channels like other teams. As for other radios, I am not sure because the ones I had before it were garbage.

You can expect to regret that you live so far away!  In all seriousness, you'll have a blast and meet great people there.  The field is awesome, but the folks around you are what make it top notch.  Three of our team drive from the greater Cincinnati area.  It's that good.
As far as radios go, most brands have generic channels that you can sync w/ your general's radio.  The individual teams usually use their own private channels, with one person communicating w/ the general.  If you are coming by yourself and want a group to run around with, look for the big black flag flying in the parking lot and come say hi.

Ah I missed that part. Yes the best part of BF is definitely the people. Always a few jackasses, but with such large numbers doing anything they always make themselves known.

Also just the field in general is quite unique compared to any other field, and the owners are improving/adding things all the time. Which goes back to the people, battlefront staff are some of the nicest people you will ever meet, and do a lot for their players.

Not a leadership role, just he has to be around for certain things to be accomplished.

As for dougs questions, i think Hades and Karma answered quite well. I will add Motorola Walk abouts are fairly standard. The ARC radios are a tad more highend thanks to

 Morocco Services Inc.

Thanks for the plug.....

I will also add for Doug..... any team at BF will adopt you for the day. Some that are closer to you may sign you up for good....... long as you play where they play.....BF. Seriously, there are several great teams from all over Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and Pennsylvania,  that come to BF regularly. You should have no trouble finding  a team to join.

There are a plenty of days to work this year.  Sept 19th should not be one of them.  I highly recommend this option.

Ha.
In antiquity those that excelled in warfare first made themselves unconquerable in order to await the moment when the enemy could be conquered.

Doug, you gotta make it up for BoB. Nothing will pop your BF cherry like a 1st Strike Scenario! That like having a hot tub full of jello, a hot chick w/ daddy issues, and a bottomless keg all to yourself!!

Thanks alot Ares I just woke my wife up i started laughing so hard.  She is pissed as hell.  Yes we have a flag now, and we are working on an insignia/symbol.  Once that is in hand I may get us some shirts made.
That is why no one will remember your name
