Look into Freak Jr kit. Its only like $80 new, and it comes with the 3 main bore sizes.(.687, .691, and .689) I have the full kit and there are some pretty obscure sizes in it that I dont think I have used. You can always buy more inserts later if it makes you happy. Edited by Badkarma - Nov/02/2009 at 10:28am |

Its really hard to say what the problem is with my marker. As I have noticed a decrease in accuracy and distance since switching out barrels. However both days I played that I noticed the problem the weather has been sh*tty. The first time I noticed it was at BOB and that was a beautiful day, but I chalked that up to the fact that I had my fps set around 250 cuz I had gotten spot checked at BT and was shooting hot despite chronoing at 280. Hmmmmm? Does anyone know if there are sizers made that are compatible with lapco barrels?

There is the Python Barrel Kit. They make "sizers" that will work with most markers on the market.
I have one that I use on my Autococker that works quite well. No matter the manufacturer it will be relative to the marker you have, it doesn't matter if you are using Lapco, J&J or any other barrel. They screw into the marker with the insert, then you add your existing barrel. It adds just over 1" to the length of your barrel setup as well. Edited by Ivan - Nov/02/2009 at 12:01pm |

I got the Freak Bore kit for christmas and finally got some tips and the back. Yesterday I recieved a 10" teardrop front (wich is really like 4") 6" Apex Ready All American front, Apex, and the Freak back for the A5. I went and matched my bore to paint (.685 I think) and but the Apex front on. I went out and shot it and it shot like a dream, far, curves, not so much the drops (dive bomb) but it works... I is very inaccurate with the "trick shots" but with practice and better paint and Air (hpa not co2) it should be a lot more fun... If you want more info on the Apex go to A5og and search for apex guide, you'll get a bunch. Look for "The Ultimate Apex Barrel Thread" and that'll get you lots of answers. but to hear stories and do a poll use my thread "Apex users do you... (vote and explain)" |

I use this combination frequently. Great distance, accuracy starts to fade after about 150'. Shoots further than any other combination i've seen on the field.

The Apex 2 does seem to give me a bit more accuracy and the look is better than the original.
