Today we Awarded an Iron Cross to Kyle Hershberger. (i forgot to give you the patch, please see me or dave next time your at the field)

Citation:
During the 2nd part attack on fortress Joe Kyle moved alone down Sarubachi and against the atlantic wall. Kyle moved to the corner and eliminated several players inside shanty town before reversing direction and engaging players across the cortyard. Kyle then switched directions again and went over the trailer to the opposite corner to engage mor players on omaha and shanty town. Kyle quickly ran out of ammo and began picking balls up off the ground and single shooting everybody he could. At this point he was discovered and engaged but he did not retreat for more paint, he once again reversed direction and attacked the courtyard interior one ball at a time. Kyle eliminated several more players while STILL scavenging balls off the ground to keep going. Finally Kyle entered the red brick interior and was finally eliminated. Kyle engaged the enemy one ball and one shot at a time for almost 30 min.

Actually...there was no numbers difference. There was actually 3 more cobra players than Joe players. The first part there was a numbers difference because cobra drug their feet getting on the field, but by the end of the first part the teams were completely even.

I think the numbers difference you experienced in the first part should be motivation for all players to get to the field and get ready early.

Just like last year we will not be delaying the start of World at War so be ready early.

No amount of motivation will get some people on the field when they need to be.  Same goes for people that just lolly gag around all day.  But to each his own, if that's what they want to do and not fight hard so be it.  It was still a good fight all day I felt.

Congrats Kyle on the award.
