I brought a helmet cam that both Lazarus and I wore at different parts of the day. I'm working on making a watchable short video out of the footage.

First let me clear the air: it happens. I have done it once myself this year.

It is more embarrassing for the person doing the shooting than it is frustrating for the one on the receiving end.

How to avoid friendly fire 101:

1) Display your armband

The first time I played at Battlefront, I was double arm-banded, so I didn't know the rule of "red on right, blue on left." This allows your team to identify you quickly (if they see no armband on the left arm, they can safely assume you are red). This also means that you need to tie your armband around your arm. Not around the base of your hopper. Not around your neck. It is an armband.

2) Follow these basic rules of engagement.

Identify

Close distance

Eliminate

(pay close attention to the first)

3) Get in character

I was eliminated 4/5 times by friendly fire during the BT Big Game.

I was never eliminated during Ia Drang by friendly fire while wearing the bamboo hat. I also wore all black. The one time I was eliminated by friendly fire, I had taken off the bamboo hat to wear the helmet cam. A little extra effort (be it a prop or uniform color) can pay off during a scenario game. Your blue jerseys are a good example of this. I am sure that, as long as you are playing on the blue team, you are rarely hit by friendly fire.

Wide is very subjective to interpretation. I mean, if the opponent is in front of me, we're talking more about length, not width... aren't we? TGE, can we get another diagram for this? I'm not confused enough yet!

And "destroy" sounds so negative... aren't you troops were supposed to be kind and gentle these days?

Bad enough I won't have a bamboo hat to wear for Band of Brothers, now I gotta worry about my own brother shooting me in the back. Maybe I can fashion a big Nazi cape...
