Misfit Mafia takes 1st

I know this forum mainly talks about woodsball and scenario paintball, but I figured I would post about a Tournament (Speedball) team comprised of Battlefront regulars. We call Battlefront our home field because if it wasn't for them this team would have never been. With that being said we have to thank Dave, Brian, Mark, and Brent for opening Battlefront and putting up with us over the years.

You probably have seen at one time or another someone wearing a Misfit Mafia jersey or shirt around Battlefront. For the past three years MM has competed in a tournament series called the TPA Cup in Alliance, Oh. Last year we ended up fourth in the series and we told ourselves that 2011 is going to be our year to win the series. 

Yesterday was the first of five events for the 2011 TPA Cup. We had 11 teams in our division all wanting the same thing, 1st place. Not only did we have to compete against 10 other teams, we had to compete against the weather. It rained from pretty much the time we started the tournament at 10am till we finished at 6pm. The roster comprised of the following Battlefront regulars:

Misfit Mafia Red:
Kevin Miller
David Kuriatnyk
Dennis Simpson (Market)
Nick Carney (Sparty)
Dennis DiRaimondo
Scott Maderitz

Despite all the rain and mud at the end of the day MM Red ended with a perfect record 12-0 and taking 1st place in the first event. 

We also fielded a second team called Misfit Mafia Black who missed getting into Finals by a few points. MM Black is still in the process of building a bond/trust with one another, but with every practice that bond/trust just keeps growing. I expect big things out of MM Black this year and hopefully we will get 1st and 2nd place locked down.
