if a german launches a rocket at a landing craft and it hits it is the whole craft out?

Sure, but since the US have a rolling respawn until the beach is taken for the 1st time, they're just going to reenter the game immediately from that spot... so the rocket is essentially a waste.

What are the rules pertaining to the airplane?  Does the nerf round have to make contact or can it land nearby?  It says something about running out of ammo, is the person allowed to use pods or is it a one hopper only deal?  Anything else need mentioned?

You're shooting rockets.  Not flak.  :)  Rocket must make contact with the airplane in order to take it down.

The plane will only be able to carry a limited amount of paint.

For the field gun, is there gonna be a certain color nerf to use or can we use zook rounds for the field gun and visa versa.
