Are the spies allowed to re-spawn at both the German and Allied re-spawn?

Good question. I had not considered this and it's nice to get these little loop holes out in the open before game day so that the refs aren't running around saying "what the hell?? They did what??" I'm going to go ahead and say NO. Spies can NOT respawn at the German reinsertion zone. I know there are a few of you who have already shown an interest in the spy role, so go back and read that last statement again just to be sure you've got it. The Germans are going to have a hard enough time dealing with the French Undgerground if the US captures Vierville. There should be at least a few places that are sacred to the German team. |

So if a spy is accidently shot by an Ally he has to go to the Allied respawn and then somehow cross back to the german lines without the entire german team seeing A. A "German" Soldier using Allied Respawn and is instantly recognized as a spy and B. A "German" walking unhindered through Ally lines, easily recognizing him as a spy.

That's right. Given the fact that the spy doesn't have to give up his German armband if he is hit, I'm not going to make it easy for him to stay underground all day long. There are still plenty of ways a spy can get around this... he'll just have to be smart about it. Off the top of my head, he could start heading to the respawn with his eliminated buddies and then stop and say, "damn... I left a pod back there," and double back. Not that hard to do. A spy is supposed to be a sneaky bastard, so he's going to have to do a little thinking on his feet. Given the amount of chatter I've been seeing on forums other than Battlefront's about D-Day, I fully expect a larger turnout than SOCOM, so it's not as if the entire German Army is going to pick up on the spy the first time he or she is eliminated. |

I think half the fun of being a spy is acting covertly to and from locations. After you've been tagged you could take the German armband off when nobody is looking and take a back way in/out. If you're with a group I think what you could do in that situation is to act like you need more paint or air and head back to the parking lot and plan a way back from there. |
