how would tank take out another tank from what i've seen (at waw) they don't have nerf weapons for their mainguns

Then you weren't paying attention, both Lightning Force and the Bastard are equipped with nerf launchers. Devestator will be equiped to fire full size nerf footballs in an attempt to copy the "Atomic Annie"

Are your full size footballs going to have finz on them like the littler ones? and if not, how far will they fly with out them on?

Just a small chunk of iron embedded  in the football for the magnets to drive it the length of the rail. 
Tough keeping it below 26,000 fps though. We have some tinkering to do....... to prevent the total deforesting of the surrounding woods with the practice rounds. It does have a real high pitched whining sound, ...... drives the dogs in the neighborhood cra-zy!!
