Yeah that was my first battlefront game... My guns didnt work but it was still a great amount of fun. I found that if i left my paint in my car for a little while and let it warm up it would shoot ok. But then i got my squeegee stuck in my flatline...

During the last T4T the weather wasn't too bad, snow on the ground & cold, but I think it was sunny.  That Moscow game in January was a complete anomaly.

I had squishies too... but in the 4* temps at Moscow it didn't matter if they were made of cotton.  I ended up putting my 8" bigshot for the least amount of time the paint would touch the barrel & a tac cap on my A5 because it seemed just the weight of 200 balls was causing some of the breakage.  Even then the paint would break in mid air 30' from the barrel.  I've never seen anything like it - we stood at flak w/ the Germans in the woodline by suribachi & couldn't hit each other.  Plenty of CQB that day, but it didn't hurt cause we had so many layers on & the paint hit you like from a spray can... good times.

I get not playing in winter cause it can be a pain - frostbit fingers/toes, markers not working, goggles fogging.  But for a game like this you should be willing to suffer, rather than a small child suffering thru another Christmas without presents :guilttrip:

or you could just send your toy to the marines and not worry about your marker breaking

But where's the fun in that?

Besides - last years T4T wasn't bad weather, maybe upper 20's.  I shot my A5 w/ e-grip & regular hopper without a single problem, don't even remember a break.  It was the horrible cold for Moscow that was causing problems.

Yeah, CO2 in cold temps will definitely cause you problems.  I played one time in cold weather w/ CO2 - I remember shooting at the chrono & getting something like 270, 220, 190, 140 on consecutive shots.  I bought an HPA tank the next week.

Moscow was the coldest game we ever played, balls were breaking in my pump. T4T is never bad, the november-jan games aren't ussually that cold, mid to lower 30's and as long as you don't leave your balls in the cold (this lesson really works all the way around)  you never really have a problem unless your shooting CO2 or have something with a cyclone  feed lol.  The January-Feb games can be a real pain with the cold, Moscow was the worst and the first BlackHawk down was pretty bitter to. But we've had january games where it reached 60 so it's all up to mother nature

It was the New Years game last year that was almost tropical... I think I played in a t-shirt for part of it.  Then 4 weeks later it's 60* colder for Moscow.  Weird, just weird.

Now I know making fun of sparty and his spelling is easy, but the words " Your, you're, to, two, too, there, their, they're" are always the ones that stick out to me so much and just piss me off. Not to mention if putting these words talking about being "smart".

Remember, the T4T rules as set by the Marines say that the toy must be New and Unopened. Now as for our rules, times are tough i realise but please don't show up to the field with a $2.99 bag of army men and think your getting the field fee taken care of. We ask for at least something valued around what the field fee is, it's charity after all and alot of kids are less fortunate than us.

A group of players are looking to come from my team, The Merry Band of Brothers. Don't have a solid count yet, but as soon as we do we will make sure to register.

Looking forward to finally trying this field out. It sounds like fun, and the charity is a great cause.

See you all there.

Planning on attending this game.

Do we just choose a side, tan or green, and hope one team doesn't massively outnumber another?
